SACKVILLE, New Brunswick – Beal University Canada in Sackville, N.B., has launched an innovative Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) program, offering a unique opportunity for aspiring registered nurses in Nova Scotia to join the healthcare workforce quickly. Considering the well-known shortage of nurses in Nova Scotia, the program provides students the opportunity to finish their BScN degree faster, in just 30 months, to get into the workforce sooner.
Beal University Canada’s accelerated program combines online and on-campus learning, enabling students to earn their BScN degree a year and a half sooner than with the traditional four-year university. The curriculum includes an initial 12-month online phase, allowing students to begin learning from the comfort of their homes while accommodating personal schedules and responsibilities. Then for 18 months online learning continues while students engage in on-campus theory and lab sessions in Sackville, New Brunswick, 2 to 4 times a week. During this learning stage, students receive clinical placements within Horizon Health Network of Hospitals and/or Vitalite Health Network, ensuring a well-rounded education that mixes theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience.
A key highlight of the program is the integration of technologically advanced simulation labs featuring virtual reality and high-fidelity manikins that replicate real-life scenarios, enhancing practical learning experiences. This innovative approach ensures students are well-prepared to navigate the challenges of the nursing profession.

Beal University Canada’s BScN program accepts applications six times a year with no waiting lists. This provides aspiring nurses with an opportunity to start their academic journey promptly. Graduates of the program will be eligible to take the NCLEX-RN licensing exam in New Brunswick, paving the way for a rewarding career in nursing as a registered nurse.
