Yes, several institutions in Canada offer online nursing courses, particularly for theory-based components. However, students must complete clinical placements and practical skills training in person. Online options provide flexibility for working students, but blended formats are more common to meet hands-on learning and accreditation requirements.

Canadian on-campus BScN programs include diverse clinical placements such as acute care hospitals, long-term care facilities, community health agencies, mental health centres, and public health settings. Students gain hands-on experience across medical-surgical, pediatric, maternal-child, and community environments, ensuring comprehensive preparation for nursing practice.
